Palette Generator

Let's do something a bit different this time. In a comment to this challenge I want you to post 4-5 of your favorite icons (made by you) from comic fandoms (if you can't pick you can use other fandoms as well), and I'll chose two from your icons and generate 2 color palettes with 5 colours for you using ~~this site~~ this site.

If the two palettes are not to your liking let me know, and I'll give you a third one. You can use one or all colours from the palette, or if you want you can use both palettes in all your icons. I hope you'll have fun with this one.

ORIGINAL RULES - for reference only

★ You can make up to 5 icons
★ You can use any comic related movies and tv shows screencaps. Also comic book pages or graphics from all publishing companies.
★ You may only use characters/fandoms that originated in comic book format, not on television/film.
★ Post your icon and the icon url in a new post to the community
★ Tag you entry with your usename
★ Your icons must conform to LJ standards (100x100, 40 KB)
★ Remember icons must be made by you, and exclusively for this challenge!
★ All effects are allowed (as long as it fits the current challenge's theme)

NEW RETRO_ICONTEST RULES - mandatory

You have to sign up by commenting to the sign-up thread with about five of your favorite icons you have previously made, and I will let the palette generator create a palette from two of them, which you then have to use.

Note that you don't have to use all the colors from the palettes, one single color is enough, and you have a lot of control over the colors by picking the right icons for me, so even if the palettes don't look 100% perfect to you, I hope you'll be able to work with them.

Since the site sietepecados used seems to have removed (or made premium) the feature to create color palettes from images, I found another site to use. Hopefully the results will be similar.

As usual, the restriction to fandoms - comics in this case - does not apply. Any fandoms (and stock) welcome.

-> you may enter as many icons as you like. minimum 1 icon.
-> submit your icons as a new entry into the community. if there are more than five, put the rest under a cut or a link to your unlocked journal post. tag your post with round number and your username (or ask me to tag it for you).
-> submit the URLs along with your icons. I'll only put the first five per person into the roundup post. Either you only list five, or I'll take the first five.
-> make an effort to leave positive feedback on other participants' posts. <3

This comm generally runs from mid-month to mid-month every month, always ending on Fridays. There is no voting. I will make a roundup post containing up to 5 icons per person after every challenge.

Deadline for round #38: Friday, May 16th your end-of-day
