On to the next challenge! It's from trope_overdosed, which has been requested a few times. I finally got around to asking the mods, and we have permission to use their challenges.

Don't get confused by the unusual wording of the post, trope_overdosed used a lot of special "trope-ified" terms. Check out the Glossary/Bait&Switch Credits for explanations.

01.The Idealist
A character who genuinely believes that their world is A World Half Full; that Humans Are Good. This character will take their (perceived) Crapsack World, and keep moving forward.

02.Off With His Head!
If you're dealing with any sword-oriented media, whether it be fantasy, medieval, kung fu, or something else, and it's more violent than a PG-13 rating, chances are, someone is going to get his head chopped off.
Note: The subject's head must be completely or almost completely cut out of the icon.

03.Beneath The Earth
The really lucky Beneath the Earth dwellers will have a Lost World thing going, with tropical flora and fauna in abundance. Not so lucky ones get gloom, fungus and lava.
Note: Warm earthy colors such as reds and browns would need to be predominant in this icon.

NEW RETRO_ICONTEST RULES - mandatory

Your icons must fit *one* of the three tropes mentioned above. They must either show an idealist, or the subject's head must be cut off, or the icon must have earthy (reddish-brown) coloring. I don't think the original challenge allowed for mixing the tropes, but I don't mind if you mix them and put more than one trope into one icon. Go wild!

This comm generally runs from mid-month to mid-month every month, always ending on Fridays. There is no voting. I will make a roundup post containing up to 5 icons per person after every challenge.
