Sorry. I checked the rules on iconcolors and didn't see anything. I was making the icons for both challenges at the same time.

You're right, my bad, the rules at iconcolors are unclear. I'll make them clearer.

The ones here could not be any more clear, though:
"Icons must be made new for every challenge, and must not be entered into other challenges (here or elsewhere)."

But now you know, and things will be fine from here on. <3

p.s.: if you want to get a second use out of your icons, check out 100fandomicons. You can use all icons you've already made (in your chosen time period) to fill a 100-icon table there.

I'm actually thinking of starting an icon challenge comm. Which is a terrible idea (I have a hard time keeping up with the two low-key comms I already mod and have two comms that I've let languish). And YET

I'm certainly not going to stop you. More icon challenge comms is a good thing. :D

Hints I would give you:

- to inspire higher participation, don't require a high number of icons (10 is too many for most people already these days)
- to make running the comm less stressful for you, look at how luminousdaze runs their challenges: deadlines are loose and often extended, no fixed schedule, it often takes them a week or more to post the next one. People are fine with that, participation in their comms is really high!

I was going to keep it pretty low-key, same as I do justcreate and like rainbowfic is. It was going to be monthly challenges to fill a bingo board as a community, and allow previously made icons (within limits).

I need to finish some stuff for RainbowFic first and get its weekly chats and tumblr going again somehow.

Sounds interesting. fandom_empire had bingo rounds like that, I liked them. (but it was too competitive for me in the long run, so I stopped participating there.)


I get it. <3 The times where all iconmakers were art students with lots of time on their hands are long gone. :)
