One of the comms that have been requested here, and I'm happy to comply. I went and asked the mods for permission - I haven't heard back, but now enough time has passed that we can have a go. This round has special rules, please check them carefully. Have fun rewatching!

Challenge 1: It Was Love At First Watch.
We all have those distinct memories that remind us of why we love a fandom, what drew us in and what kept us coming back for more. Whatever the focus of your rewatch, an entire series or a season in the fandoms time, for the first challenge we would like you to show us why you fell in love with the fandom/s you have chosen to revisit.

You are welcome to use these resources (and others of your own choosing) in addition to your representation of the main theme, however they are not a mandatory aspect of the challenge.
ORIGINAL CHALLENGE RULES - for reference, bolded parts are mandatory!

You may claim up to 2 fandoms to rewatch.
Claims can include:
The episodes/parts of your claim should be iconed in order.
Icons should be posted directly to the community.
You can enter a challenge as many times as you want, and post as often as you like.
Guidelines for icon posts are:
A post can include as many or few icons or episodes as you like.
NEW RETRO_ICONTEST RULES - mandatory
Consider the original challenge rules and try to stick to them in spirit. You must stick to the rules I bolded above.
The main point of watchnicon was that you have to pick one specific fandom (or two), and rewatch episodes/movies from it in order, from a starting point you pick, and then post icons for each one. Discussion of the rewatched material is encouraged!
-> you must enter at least one icon.
-> every icon must correspond to one of the prompts listed under Part A. You can repeat and mix and match prompts however you like.
-> If you enter more than one, you have to enter them in episode/part order. 1 icon per episode minimum (no maximum). That means you can't skip any eps!
-> There is no official claiming here - you only have to be accountable to yourself.
-> You don't have to claim whole shows, you can claim parts of them, e.g. Doctor Who season 13, or Guardian eps 20-30. You don't have to finish everything in four weeks, but you have to start at the beginning and go in order. So if you only manage Guardian eps 20-22, that's perfectly fine, and you can post what you have!
-> You are allowed to post more than once this round, e.g. if you want to watch, then icon, then watch, then icon, etc. Maximum number of posts is four (one per week).
-> submit your icons as a new entry into the community. if there are more than five, put the rest under a cut or a link to your unlocked journal post. tag your post with round number and your username (or ask me to tag it for you).
-> submit the URLs along with your icons. I'll only put the first five per person into the roundup post. Either you only list five, or I'll take the first five.
-> make an effort to leave positive feedback on other participants' posts. <3
-> read the full rules here in our userinfo.
Each challenge will run for roundabout four weeks. There is no voting. I will make a roundup post containing up to 5 icons per person after every challenge. Challenges run roughly mid-month to mid-month every month.
