I ended up preparing a few (it's easier to randomize 5 tropes, then 5 caps, etc. than doing them one at a time), but I think all in all, it took me close to an hour per participant. The cap pools are by far the most time-consuming, and I think I'd have replaced them with something else if I'd had the choice.

I don't regret it at all, though! I love the complicated challenges neonspider came up with, and it's a joy to be running them again.
